YES Receives Mayor’s Community Safety Award

Nov 28, 2008 – YES has received 2008 Mayor’s Community Safety Award for its eYES project. The award was presented by Mayor David Miller at Toronto City Hall on Monday, November 24th, 2008.

eYES is an inter-generational project designed to empower youth with new skills that will increase their confidence and their ability to secure employment. Youth are trained by a skilled facilitator to teach computer classes to seniors. eYES is located in one of the 13 underserved Neighbourhoods of Toronto.
