PART-TIME, LONG-TERM CONTRACT DOG WALKER IN TORONTO’S EAST END (Leslieville/Riverside)

KatyK9's award-winning dog walking team is looking for a new, long-term teammate to join them this Spring in Leslieville and Riverside!
This part-time, long-term, independent contract position requires a responsible, reliable, dedicated person, who loves dogs and has previous experience with dogs -- whether through personal ownership, personal or professional dog walking, or volunteerism. Preference is given to those with professional experience.
The candidate must also:
- demonstrate strong and transparent communication skills
- have very good time management skills
- possess keen attention to detail, care and safety
- be able to read dog body language
- have a good level of fitness (our dog walks are all on-leash at a good pace, no dog parks!)
- be calm, confident and problem solve quickly
- show up consistently prepared with a positive attitude
The schedule is Monday to Friday (no weekends) from approximately 11am to 3pm -- some days may require you to start or finish a little bit on either side of these times.
We also offer dog sitting services exclusive to our clients, which you can accept or decline at your own discretion (you are not required to dog sit).
Our pay rate is per hour, which you track daily and invoice bi-weekly. Rate starts at $20/hr for training and increases after the trial period is passed and also increases with your consistent performance and time with the team.
