Position Overview:

The Events Assistant will support the Operations & Events Coordinator in executing exhibitions, workshops, and community events at Youthful Vengeance. This entry-level role is hands-on, ideal for someone passionate about the arts and community engagement, with a strong focus on event setup, on-site support, and maintaining the space before and after events.

Key Responsibilities:

🔹 Event Setup & On-Site Support

• Assist in setting up exhibitions, workshops, and community events, ensuring everything runs smoothly.

•Greet and guide artists, guests, and volunteers, providing on-site support during events.

• Help with basic AV setup, signage placement, and space organization before events.

•Respond to any last-minute event needs, ensuring artists and guests have what they need.

🔹 Post-Event Cleanup & Maintenance

•Break down and reset the space after events, including moving chairs, tables, and equipment.

• Ensure the venue is cleaned and organized after exhibitions and gatherings.

• Assist in restocking supplies, disposing of waste, and reporting any issues with the space.

🔹 General Event & Program Support

•Support the Operations & Events Coordinator with administrative tasks as needed.

• Help track event attendance, artist participation, and program impact.

• Assist with basic social media updates, photography, or documentation of events.

•Provide light hospitality support, such as setting up refreshments and assisting attendees.

Qualifications:

• Interest in arts, events, and community-building.

•Ability to work evenings and weekends for events as needed.

•Strong teamwork skills and willingness to take on hands-on tasks.

•Comfortable with light physical work, such as moving chairs, setting up tables, and cleaning.

•Friendly and adaptable in a fast-paced, creative environment.
