YES was thrilled to host our first post-pandemic in-person national roundtable event at the Museum of Vancouver on June 8th! This event, part of the HSBC Bank Canada funded Career Accelerator program, brought together Vancouver-based community organizations and Career Accelerator program partners, local youth, corporate partners and thought leaders, to discuss financial literacy training for youth, resiliency and the rapidly-rising cost of living and rates of inflation in both BC and across Canada.
In addition to remarks from honoured guest, Hon. Andrew Mercier, Minister of State for Workforce Development, we heard an inspiring keynote address from JR LaRose, CFL Champion – Resilience, Equity and Indigenous Inclusion Expert, and engaged our attendees in a productive panel discussion.
